Marie Stopes Kenya joined the rest of the world in commemorating World Contraception Day on 26th Sept, both online and through outreach events.
Marie Stopes Kenya supported 10 counties – Nairobi, Mombasa, Kilifi, Kisumu, Kakamega, Kisii, Homabay, Trans Nzoia, Marsabit in the ASALs and Nakuru. Over 6,000 people were reached with information on the contraceptive methods and over 900 served with LARCs. About 10 clients in Kakamega County were referred for BTLs. The counties displayed various themes but the key message was the benefit of using contraceptives, available options and the power of choice.
